BSc (Adv) MBBS PgDip Internal Med (Edin) FRACP PhD
Jeffrey is a clinical and academic nephrologist affiliated with The Wollongong and Canterbury Hospitals, and The George Institute for Global Health, UNSW Sydney.
He believes that kidney health involves a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to the care of his patients informed by his strong research interests. His PhD thesis entitled "Cardiovascular Risk in Chronic Kidney Disease" has informed international guidelines and the management of cardiovascular disease in patients with kidney disease. Until recently, he held a prestigious appointment as Editorial Intern with the American Journal of Kidney Diseases (2022-2023), one of the leading journals for clinical nephrology worldwide. He remains actively involved in high-quality research with the aim of improving the lives of people with kidney disease, and is an incoming member of the Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN) CKD Working Group.
His special interests include hypertension, pregnancy-related hypertension, cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic health, kidney supportive care and geriatric nephrology.
He is also fluent in Cantonese.
